Good Monday morning good people of the interweb. Here is a watercolour I painted for my boy’s room. I feel like this most of the time. A kid trapped in an adult body.

I'll continue to post both on blogspot and my site until I get the site up and running. Once the website is running properly I'll be switching over to wordpress for any new posts. I'll update you on that as it happens.

Mr. Monocle (100th post)

Here is another painting that I did for my son's first birthday. This also is my 100th post on cardboardtreehouse.com I be sure to post more often with the aim of getting to the next 100 posts in a more timely fashion. I really had some fun with this fella, I think I'll make him into a sculpture sometime when I have an opportunity. This was my first painting in some time. I painted him with acrylic paint on a 8X8 canvas. Hope you enjoy him. I'll be doing more paintings over the next little while so check back soon.

the modern world

My dad is turning 55 today. During his time on this earth he has seen some amazing things. They put a man on the moon. You can carry your phone in your shirt pocket. Your entire record collection can be stored in a match book size device. Thanks to modern pharmaceuticals, the old aren't quite so old anymore. I guess it's true that everything old is new again. Happy Birthday Wayne.

Monster Warm Up

It is my niece's 11th birthday today.  She is a great kid with a real strong personality.  It'll be interesting to see what kind of person she will grow into.  Here is one interpretation of what it may look like once she is let loose on the world.  Happy Birthday little one.

Who wants Girl Guide cookies?

It is April and it is time once again for those scrumptious Girl Guide cookies. Not those awful thin mints but the good chocolate and vanilla cookies with the frosting inside. One of my sister-in-law's neighbor's kids is selling the cookies this year and I explained to some of my friends that I have the GGC connection if they wanted any. They wanted to see me as a Girl Guide so here we go... sorry about this folks.
